Bilingual Education Resources
The National Association for Bilingual Education is the only national professional organization devoted to representing Bilingual Learners and Bilingual Education professionals. They promote bilingual education and quality experiences for ESL learners. This is great resources for both educators and parents. This association is dedicated to many key initiatives such as focusing on ESL student achievements, a source for professional development for educators and parents who work with ESL learners, working with legislators and policymakers, and partnerships with educators, businesses and the community.
This helps support language acquisition in children by providing educators and family’s information about current happenings in the area of bilingualism. I would be able to use this resource in my current role as a preschool teacher as a place to go if I needed clarification about current laws pertaining to ESL learners or to go to one of their conferences to receive up to date training.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Education Place is a site dedicated to improving teaching and learning environments and solves complex literacy and education challenges. It contains lots of course materials for teachers of bilingual students, materials for bilingual students, and information for families.
This site supports language acquisition in children by providing fun and educational activities and experiences for children K-12. I would use this site to look for new activities to use in the classroom that could be beneficial to ESL learners.

The 4Teachers site is dedicated to helping teachers integrate technology in their classroom by offering lots of resources that can be reached through the internet. They “focus on instructional Web-based resources, professional development, program support, scaleable online assessment, and assistance for special needs.”
This supports language acquisition in children by providing educators resources to turn to when they need more information. I would use this site if I needed to find more information about ESL learners or to direct families who like to find their own resources.
