Type/Title of Project: Easy Smores
Supervising Teacher: Melissa Bruchs
2. How does your project build on a child/children’s interest and/or developmental needs? Toddlers love to do things themselves; it gives them a sense of empowerment. It gives them a chance to use their fine motor skills and well as problem solving to figure out how to spread the marshmallow and nutella on the graham cracker.
3. Was the project approved in advance by your supervising teacher?
Yes.
4. Were all your materials prepared prior to presenting the project?
Yes.
5. Was your project effectively presented? How could you tell?
Yes, I could tell it was presented effectively because they were very immersed in the experience. They were quiet the whole time, which id rare for toddlers. J
6. Did you convey enthusiasm and interest to the children?
If yes, how did you do this? If no, why not? Yea, I talked to them about how well they were doing and acknowledged each of their progress.
7. Did the children convey interest and enthusiasm in the project? How could you tell?
Yes, they were very focused.
8. Was each of your objectives well met?
Yes.
9. Was your project age appropriate?
Yes.
10. All things considered, how would you rate your project?
10 out of 10
11. How do you plan to improve and extend this project?
Improve: I could have made this a more nutritious snack. I could have used peanut butter and graham crackers or ants on a log.
Extend: This could be a everyday occurrence to let them assemble their own snacks.
